School Leadership

rattein Peter Rattien
It is such a pleasure to serve as the principal of Constable Elementary School. The staff is dedicated to the growth of every child with a challenging and engaging educational experience.
I began my career in education as a teacher for the New York City Board of Education in the Bronx. I worked extensively in the areas of physical education and technology, utilizing my professional background as a project manager, Web developer, and sports writer.
I began my tenure with the South Brunswick School District in September 2005. I taught third grade at Greenbrook School for two years and then fifth grade at Monmouth Junction School for five years. In 2012, I transitioned to Cambridge and Constable schools as the assistant principal. I then returned to Monmouth Junction as the assistant principal while also leading the district's Chromebook and Google Drive integration.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Ithaca College and earned a Master's Degree in Education from Hunter College. I completed my work in educational administration and supervision at the Foundation for Education Administration's NJ Excel Program for Educational Leadership.

Assistant Principal
It is my pleasure to serve as the Assistant Principal of Constable Elementary School. My time is shared between Constable and Monmouth Junction Schools.
My teaching career began in Charleston, South Carolina where I taught seventh grade Social Studies for four and a half years after receiving my B.S. in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston. In 2005, I moved to New Jersey and began my tenure in South Brunswick, teaching third grade, fourth grade, and instructional support at Greenbrook School. I received my Master’s of Educational Administration from Rider University in December 2014.
I look forward to working with the students, families, and staff of both Constable and Monmouth Junction Schools to help all students exceed their own academic, social, and emotional goals.
